Like many good love stories, this one started in a bar.  It no longer exists (served too many underage college kids unfortunately).  It was Bibi Maizoon's in collegetown in Ithaca, NY.  Sheila was at Cornell Law School, Richard was at Cornell's business school (Johnson).  The first date was on 25 April 2002 at Ruloff's (also in collegetown, and also well-known to serve underage college kids, but obviously with better connections than Bibi Maizoon's).

From there, the relationship has spanned geographies and continents.  That first summer (2002) Sheila interned in E. Palo Alto, CA and Richard interned in New York, NY.  On graduation in May 2003 Sheila went to Montgomery, AL for 1 year while Richard went to New York, NY.  In June 2004 Sheila moved to New York, NY and we quickly discovered that Richard's small 1 bedroom apartment in SoHo couldn't hold Sheila's shoes, let alone the rest of her stuff.  In October 2004 we moved into a great apartment on the border of Greenwich Village / West Village.

In April 2006, a new adventure started as we both moved to London, England, renting an apartment at the Sloane Square end of Kings Road in Chelsea.

The big day will be in Sydney, Australia, with the ceremony in the Rose Garden Pavilion (sometimes called the Palace Rose Garden Pavilion) in the Royal Botanic Gardens right in the city centre, and the reception at Catalina in Rose Bay about 8km (5 mi) from the city centre.
